Who is the programme for?
High-school learners aged 15–19 who are interested in healthcare or want to explore the different careers within Health Sciences.
Do I need any medical knowledge?
No. The sessions are designed as an introduction at a high-school level. Curiosity and a willingness to participate are all you need to get started.
Where and when does it take place?
30 November–3 December 2026 at the Wits Advanced Surgical Skills Lab, Department of Surgery, 9th floor, Johannesburg. Joining information will include final arrival and venue details.
What will the practical sessions involve?
Supported, simulation-based and interactive learning. The emphasis is on exploration, teamwork and understanding healthcare in a learning environment.

A visit to the Adler Museum of Medicine forms part of the planned experience, connecting today’s healthcare with its fascinating history.
